Robert has extensive experience in advising his
clients doing business in China, including establishment
of wholly foreign-owned enterprises and joint ventures, M&A
transactions and disputes resolution. Robert has been involved
into certain complicated deals in which his regulatory compliance
advices are crutial.
Robert is graduated from Zhongnan University of Economic and Law
(LLB) in 2003 and obtains his master degree from the Law School
of University of Aberdeen in 2005. He is admitted to practice in
China in 2007. From 2006 to date, he practied with Deheng Law Firm
starting from a paralegal and now becomes a partner. Before that,
he has an internship in Pinsent Masons Shanghai office from December
2004 to May 2005.
Robert speaks fluent English and he is native speaker of Mandarin.
Robert’s experience includes advising on:
FDI and M&A Projects
>> Xuzhou Bohui Construction Machinery Group on transferring its
50% shares to John Deere and establishing a Sino-America Joint
Venture in 2005.
>> Hiking Group on its US$ 6 million acquisition of 100% shares
of On-rite company, the second largest hair replacement company
in the world in 2009.
>> Ocean Trawler, one of largest seafood suppliers, establishing
a joint venture with Espersen Group in Qingdao in 2008.
>> a Xuzhou machinery manufacture group in an international
arbitration seated in HKIAC under the UNCITRL with its U.S
shareholders on the shareholding dispute in connection with
their joint venture in China .
>> Cobra Europe S.A, a giant in world rubber industry, in a
legal proceeding to defend against its China counterpart in
connention with an international trading dispute between them.
>> Commerciale Tubi Acciaio in bringing a suit in connection
with products defects dispute in China against its PRC suppliers.
>> CNPV Solar Power S.A on issuing US$25 million convertible
notes to the Yellow River Delta Investment Funds and Barron
LLP in 2009.
>> HL Goup on listing and trading in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
Market in 2009.
